The world of India America Today (www.IndiaAmericaToday.com) is indelibly marked on its back page – “Mita Roy Unplugged” – from its maiden print edition by non other than India’s first woman political cartoonist, Mita Roy.

The print edition – month after month is being welcomed in the White House, the US State Department, the Pentagon and other agencies while delighting umpteen number of global readers as Mita Roy stirs the world of politics by her brilliant satire and incredible thinking machine. Having seen dozens of those witty and hard hitting cartoons with a brilliant satire lacing, I have an honest appreciation and deep rooted respect for her work. India’s first woman political cartoonist, Mita Roy, is no doubt, a class apart and I wish her all the best in all her endeavors.
We are grateful to Mita Roy for playing a key role in enhancing the interest of the reader community of diverse backgrounds in the US and abroad, through the strokes of her cartoons.
